My dear husband surprised me with a beautiful Nikon camera, as an early 1st wedding anniversary gift! I was so surprised and absolutely thrilled to have a new toy. I haven't put it down since! I hope to share some photos soon, I just need to get a USB cable to download the photos. I've also been keeping busy making jewelry. It's a very soothing and rewarding little hobby. Even my mom has started doing it! |

Forever in our hearts. June 15, 2011 |
I'm heartbroken to say that a week ago, on June 8th, my dad passed away. He had been very ill for years, especially the last 3-6 months. Mom and I thought we were somewhat prepared but we were definitely not expecting it. Daddy was in so much pain and had so many health problems, but I always described him as indestructible. I guess his heart, his kidney, or whatever it was that took him, decided it was time. I will miss him and love him always. I'm deeply sad he'll never meet my children or grow old with my mom, but I know he's looking down, happily, and watching over us, while playing with his German Shepherds, visiting family, and enjoying learning the secrets of the universe. He loved my mom and me dearly. I couldn't have asked for a better dad. xoxo |
